Administrator welcome message Welcome to Stanwell Matters The site dedicated to making life in Stanwell and Stanwell Moor better for everyone.   Our Villages play a unique role in the prosperity of the area, London and the UK as a whole.  Being so close to Heathrow Airport many residents have connections with the Airport. Certainly we are affected by what happens there.   Stanwell is an old village and it's history is deeper than many of it's newer and brasher neighbours. Stanwell Moor and Staines Moor are the largest and oldest areas of natural moorland to the west of London. It is an area rich in history and culture.  But there are issues confronting us today  which need more up to date solutions.   Please feel free to discuss and argue and campaign  here.  We want all members of our community to join and share their experiences and views.  The Administors/moderators will make sure views expressed here are passed on to the appropriate person/body. The Site was started by Guy Ghani in 2007 and is intended to be politically neutral, although there will be poilitcal views expressed.   No Racist, Ageist, Sexist or indeed any other form of offensive or abusive posting. No harassment No illegal activities or organising illegal activities (If we find out, we tell the cops) No swearing (I may allow non hateful swearing on a special adults only board if there is demand).   No spamming or trolling (as defined in Wikipedia). Although there are moderators we can't be here all the time.  Offenders will initially have offending posts deleted, and repeat offenders will be barred.   I believe in up front and honest debate.  I am a Labour Party member. You may be a member or you may belong to another party or to no party.  You are all welcome, but remember to respect one anothers views and beliefs. I will invite local councillors and the local MP to join this site, and will forward to them the points raised here. I will also post their replies.
