or the lack of them.....
there is in excess of 550 residences on the Moor-so assume a population of 2,000, yet the park amenities for kids 6-15yrs are minimal. So it is no wonder there are instances of yobbish behaviour, grafitti & minor car damage through mindless boredom. If you look at the facilites available in other parks within Spelthorne borough it is clear where priorities lie. Victor Agarwal paid us a visit this week & when asked what he could do to improve services & facilities on S/Moor he beat a hasty retreat. Yet we pay our council taxes like the rest of the borough so should enjoy the same level of services. My own kids are grown so I am not raising this issue because I have a personal interest but have always felt we are the poor relation. Anyone else got comments ?  :/

There are modern facilities all over Spelthorne and the facilities at Stanwell Moor do seem older and smaller than most.  I will try and get Victor to address the other point.  I know he has put money into youth services on the Moor and has said that he is trying to start a Football Club...But that's a bit second hand.....I'll try and get him to log on.

Thanks for your comment. I am sorry to read you felt a hasty retreat was taken, when out campaigning the priority is to see as many residents as possible. If you have a particular area of concern please write to me so I can arrange a timed appointment to discuss this.  Now in terms of my commitment to the Moor as a County Councillor please speak to your community representatives who attend the Stanwell Moor Residents Assoc who can advise you exactly what I have done for the moor and continue to do so.  To demonstrate that commitment this year I spent over 50% of my total budget in the Moor and the previous year spent around 35-40% of this budget on improving youth provision and reducing anti-social behaviour.  I am currently looking at supporting a new football club.
